Today, the Statistical Institute of Belize published its latest statistics on the consumer price index and external trade for the country of Belize.
Consumer Price Index
The All-Items Consumer Price Index for September 2017 stood at 104.4, an increase from 103.7 in September 2016. On average, during this month in 2017, the prices of goods and services regularly purchased by Belizean households were 0.7 percent higher than they were in the same month of 2016. Across the seven municipalities, Dangriga once again recorded the highest increase in consumer prices for the month at 2.3 percent. For the first nine months of 2017, a year-to-date inflation rate of 1.2 percent was recorded.
