National MICS 2024 Data Review Workshop Scheduled for July 28-31, 2025
BELIZE CITY, BELIZE, July 29, 2025 –
The Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB), in partnership with UNICEF Belize, is pleased to announce the Data Interpretation and Report Compilation (DIRC) Workshop for the seventh round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS7). This important national event will take place from July 28–31, 2025, at the Atlantic Tower, Belize City.
The 4-day workshop will bring together national experts and key stakeholders to validate the preliminary findings of the 2024 MICS7. Participants will conduct thematic reviews in areas such as:
- Sampling coverage
- Learn and acquire skills
- Child health, nutrition, and development
- Live in a safe and clean environment
- Reproductive, maternal, newborn, and adult health
- Protected from violence and exploitation
- Equitable chance in life/ Survive
- Mental Health
- Further Analysis: Multidimensional Child Poverty (MCDP) roadmap
Each thematic session includes presentation of key findings, open dialogue, and agreement on final recommendations for Belize’s official Survey Findings Report (SFR).
Participants are expected to attend on the specific day(s) when their relevant thematic areas are being reviewed. Special attention will be given to validating both internal and external consistency, reviewing the mental health module, and finalizing the Multidimensional Child Poverty (MDCP) framework.
