Today, the Statistical Institute of Belize published its latest statistics on the consumer price index, external trade, and the consumer confidence index for November 2025.
Consumer Price Index
For the month of November 2025, data from the Statistical Institute of Belize’s monthly Consumer Price Index (CPI) survey indicated that the All-Items CPI, which summarizes price levels across all categories of consumer goods and services that are regularly purchased by Belizean households, stood at 120.6. This was an increase from 120.1 recorded in November 2024, reflecting a national inflation rate of 0.4 percent, and was in keeping with the gradual and steady slowdown in the rate at which consumer prices have been rising throughout the year. For the first eleven months (January to November) of 2025, the year-to-date inflation rate stood at 1.1 percent, when compared to the first eleven months of 2024.

Merchandise Trade
Belize’s total merchandise imports for the month of November 2025 were valued at $208.4 million, down by 9.5 percent or $22.0 million from November 2024, when imports were valued at $230.4 million. Merchandise imports for the first eleven months of the year, January to November 2025, amounted to $2.639 billion, representing a 1.5 percent or $39.1 million decrease from $2.678 billion recorded during the same period of 2024.
Total domestic exports for the month of November 2025 amounted to $24.8 million, up by 10.5 percent or $2.4 million when compared to exports for November 2024, which were valued at $22.4 million. Merchandise exports for the period January to November 2025 totaled $365.5 million, down 5.6 percent or $21.7 million from the first eleven months of 2024, when exports were valued at $387.2 million.

Consumer Confidence Index
The national Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) stood at 48.2 in November 2025, an increase of 6.8 percent from 45.2 in October 2025. This marked a notable improvement in consumer sentiment, following the generally downward trend seen during the earlier months of the year.
