The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey is recruiting over 60 persons across Belize

Recruits must complete the required training exercise to be offered positions in the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey Hours of work:
Flexible, but must commit to working late evenings and weekends
Locate households and guide interviewers in the field using the SIB Collect application.
Assign households for interviewers.
Distribute all necessary fieldwork materials to the interviewers.
Accompany interviewers to households that have refused to participate in the survey, to seek the household’s cooperation.
Check all questionnaires and point out any errors to interviewers.
Check the application for any rejected questionnaires and show interviewers any errors daily.
Ensure that all households on the sample listing were visited and that there is a corresponding questionnaire for each household regardless of the result code.
Verify vacant dwellings, vacant lots, no contact, partially complete, etc.
Collect and submit ID cards, flashcards, all questionnaires, including additional person questionnaires, spoilt and blank questionnaires, bags, clipboards, logbooks, and all electronic devices with accessories to headquarters upon completion of data collection.
Ensure that completed questionnaires are uploaded at the end of each day.
Report to the supervisor any difficulties with the vehicle.
Report to the supervisor any problems that may arise during fieldwork
Discuss with interviewers any consistent errors or omissions from field visit observations
Discuss and communicate with interviewers any consistent errors and omissions from in-office quality checks on a daily basis
Reject questionnaires with errors and omissions for corrections.
Conduct at least 1 live interview for each interviewer per cluster and provide feedback to the interviewer and zone supervisor.
Ensure team members wear vests and lanyards with ID cards in the execution of their duties in the field.
Protect and keep tablets safe, while ensuring confidentiality at all times
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols (wearing masks, using sanitizers, practicing social distancing) as issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Requirements:
Minimum of Associate Degree
Must be fluent in English (field supervisors may require the ability to speak fluent Spanish/Ketchi/Mopan where applicable in the region)
Logistically sound, coordinate travel plan to the sampled areas to maximize efficiency
Have geographical knowledge about areas in the district
Have excellent communication skills (be able to speak clearly, persuasively, and precise in asking questions)
Working knowledge of tablets
Previous experience in call centers would be an asset
Must have an active bank account
Available to work 6 days of the week (weekends included)
Available to work flexible hours for completion of assignments
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Physically fit and able to conduct fieldwork
Attendance for all training days is mandatory
Mature female individual is required due to the nature of the survey
Identify all eligible men and women and children under 5 and children 5 to 17 years and administer individual questionnaires
Record anthropometric measurements
Locate households in the field using SIB Collect application
Collect information on ALL respondents in the household
Before ending your call or interview, check completed interviews to ensure that all applicable questions were asked
Set up and manage call appointments for respondents who could not be interviewed during the first contact
Correct errors or omissions pointed out by editors and upload corrected questionnaires
Upload completed questionnaires at the end of each day
Submit ID cards, flashcards, all questionnaires, including additional person questionnaires, spoilt and blank questionnaires, bags, clipboards, logbooks, and all electronic devices with accessories to headquarters upon completion of data collection.
Report to your supervisor any issues faced in conducting your assignment
Protect and keep tablets safe, while ensuring confidentiality at all times
Adhere to safety protocols (wearing masks, using sanitizers, practicing social distancing) as issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness
Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma
Fluent in English (interviewers may require the ability to speak fluent Spanish/Ketchi/Mopan where applicable in the region)
Have excellent communication skills (be able to speak clearly, persuasively, and precise in asking questions)
Mature female individual is required due to the nature of the survey
Minimum of 25 years
Working knowledge of tablets
Must have an active bank account
Available to work 6 days of the week (weekends included)
Available to work flexible hours for completion of assignments
Must have a designated work area set up at home to make calls without distraction
Conduct anthropometric measurements (weight and height)
Record and provide accurate measurements for data entry
Wiping and sanitizing equipment before measurements are conducted
Ensure that the measuring equipment is fully charged
Keep measuring boards and scales in good condition
Report to your supervisor any issues faced in conducting your assignment
Submit ID cards, flashcards, all questionnaires, including additional person questionnaires, spoilt and blank questionnaires, bags, clipboards, logbooks, and all electronic devices with accessories to headquarters upon completion of data collection.

Requirements:

Safely transport SIB officers, field staff, and other authorized persons to and from designated destinations in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles daily and before trips outside of the duty station. The checks include but are not limited to:
Checking the oil, water, and coolant levels and replenishing as necessary.
Checking that the tires are well inflated.
Checking that lights, indicators, brakes, and wipers are in good working condition.
Notify headquarters of any damage or mechanical malfunction of the vehicle that may occur.
Maintain and update the log of all driving assignments.
Accept responsibility for the vehicle assigned and ensure that the vehicle is clean and maintained at all times.
Load and unload materials and supplies.
Drivers are prohibited from driving vehicles while under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs, carrying illegal firearms in vehicles, driving recklessly, or playing loud music in the vehicles.
Drivers are not to use cell phones while driving
Drivers must ensure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts and masks at all times.
Statistical Institute of Belize vehicles shall not be parked in front of bars, or other places of ill repute; disciplinary action will be taken against individuals who violate this policy
Perform any other relevant duties required for the effective functioning of the survey.

Requirements:
Three years of work experience
Fluent in English
Live in the assigned area of work
Possess a valid driver’s license. Be able to drive standard and automatic transmission
Must have an active bank account
Possess a social security card
Available to work 6 days a week during the assigned period for data collection (weekends included)
Available to work flexible hours for completion of assignments
Self-motivated and able to work independently
