The Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB) is now accepting applications for employment in the 2022 Population and Housing Census. The Census is the most extensive data collection activity undertaken by a country, and it requires a considerable amount of human resources to execute it. Consequently, the SIB will be hiring almost 1,000 persons to work for the Census in various capacities such as Interviewers, Field Supervisors, Editor/Coders, Drivers, IT Technicians, and Administrative Assistants. Successful applicants will need to attend mandatory training sessions in March and April 2022 in preparation for data collection, which is scheduled to start in May 2022 for eight weeks. Data will be collected through face-to-face interviews; therefore, all persons hired for the Census will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
