The public is advised that the Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB) is conducting a field practice exercise today May 4th, as part of its training of enumerators for the upcoming Population and Housing Census. Trainees will be working in all urban municipalities and select rural communities including San Narciso, Libertad, Ranchito, Altamira, Yo Creek, Trial Farm, San Jose Nuevo Palmar, Lord’s Bank, Hattieville, Unitedville, Ontario, Camalote, Cotton Tree, Cristo Rey, Calla Creek, Central Farm, Passlow Falls, Hope Creek, Silk Grass, Big Falls, and San Pedro Columbia
A second round of training is scheduled to commence on May 16th for 2 weeks. Census Day will be observed on May 12th and data collection will commence the following day on May 13th for approximately 10 weeks. The Institute invites the public to participate in the Census by responding to the questionnaires administered by our enumerators.
