The 2022 Census is recruiting over 900 persons across Belize
Training Period:
During the month of April 2022 Period of employment:
Available for the period early April 2022 to end of July 2022

Recruits must successfully complete the required training exercise in order to be offered positions in the 2022 census Hours of work:
Flexible, but must commit to working late evenings and weekends
The field supervisor will be the leader of his/her respective team. Each team will include 4 to 5 interviewers. Some teams working in the rural areas will also include a driver. Each team will be assigned designated areas in which to collect data for the Census.
Overall responsibilities
Assist with the training of interviewers
Distribute and track all fieldwork materials and equipment
Coordinate and supervise the collection of data in their assigned area of work
Ensure that data collection is completed within the allocated timeframe
Assist with the public awareness campaign for the Census
Assist with quality checks to ensure the accuracy of data collected
Ensure that team members are adhering to SIB’s COVID-19 safety protocols
Qualifications and other requirements
Minimum of an Associate degree or at least three years experience as a field supervisor
Fluent in English (Must be fluent in Spanish in the Northern and Cayo districts)
Proficient in working with tablets
Be knowledgeable of assigned areas of work
Must be available to attend training in March 2022
Must be available to conduct training of interviewers in April 2022
Must be available to work six days a week from May to July 2022
Must be available to work flexible hours
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid social security card
The editor/coder will be responsible for checking each submitted questionnaire to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
Overall responsibilities
Check all assigned questionnaires for completeness and accuracy
Ensure the descriptions of items for coding are adequate
Highlight inconsistencies that require correction by the interviewer
Ensure that questionnaires are error-free before submitting for payment
Qualifications and other requirements
Minimum of an Associate Degree or at least three years experience as an editor/coder
Must be proficient in working with a computer
Must be available to attend training in April 2022
Must be available to work in Belmopan Monday through Fridays during SIB’s regular working hours, i.e., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursdays and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays
Must be available to work from May 2022 to August 2022
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid social security card
The IT technician will be primarily responsible for providing IT support at their assigned regional census office and during the various training sessions for field staff.
Overall responsibilities
Assist with configuration of equipment
Provide IT support during field staff training
Provide end-user support for census applications
Perform maintenance and fixes to equipment (where possible)
Assist with uploading of weekly assignments to interviewers
Assist in conducting preliminary checks to census mapping data
Qualifications and other requirements
Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field or a High School Diploma with at least two years experience in performing IT technician duties
Minimum Grade I pass in English Language (CXC Basic proficiency) or equivalent
CXC pass in Information Technology, EDP&M, or equivalent
Knowledge of Android systems and commonly used software
Must be available from March to July 2022
Must be available to work flexible hours
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid social security card
The driver will be responsible for transporting field staff and other authorized persons to and from designated destinations and performing daily maintenance checks on their assigned vehicle.
Overall responsibilities
Transport staff to and from designated destinations
Perform routine maintenance checks on assigned vehicles. These include:
Checking of oil, water, and coolant
Checking tires to ensure they are well inflated
Checking lights, indicators, brakes, and wipers to ensure they are in good working condition
Ensure vehicle is always kept clean
Assist with loading and unloading supplies
Qualifications and other requirements
Minimum of a High School diploma
At least three years of driving experience
Possess a valid driver’s license
Be able to drive a standard transmission
Must be available from May to July 2022
Must be available to work flexible hours
Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid social security card
