In preparation for the 2022 Population and Housing Census, the Statistical Institute of Belize carried out a census mapping activity.
The purpose of the census mapping exercise is to capture geographic coordinates and photographs of all buildings across the country of Belize, to assist SIB census staff in quickly and efficiently locating dwellings, businesses, and other buildings during the 2022 Census.
This will allow for the Population and Housing Census to be completed more quickly than previous censuses and in the most cost-effective manner possible.
